When It All Starts to Come Together It’s nearly the end of the semester, and finals are quickly approaching. I’ve been scrambling to put together a study schedule for the next few weeks because, let’s be honest, I did nothing over Thanksgiving break. The fact that I even brought a few textbooks back home with me is admirable, but they stayed tucked away in my suitcase the entire time. Even though it’s been stressful trying to cram for all of my classes, it’s been interesting to see how a lot of what I’ve learned over the course of the semester is interlinked. For example, I’m in an international business class (BADM 380) where we learned about currency risk and how it impacts foreign direct investment. In my financial markets class (FIN 300), we took a closer look at various strategies for trading currency, so I got to observe the more technical side of things. I’m also taking an anthropology class for fun (ANTH 103), which has real world applications on pretty much every level. So yes, I’m stressed, and I can’t wait for finals to be over, but it’s nice to take a moment and reflect on everything I’ve been exposed to this semester. I’m so thankful to be able to learn about topics from multiple perspectives and develop a more well-rounded knowledge of things.
